Climate change severely hits Bada Swabi Pakistan
Climate change hits Bada,a small village in Swabi Pakistan
A local illiterate villager cursed the dam staff for their presence in the village as he believed it didn't rain since their arrival in the locality.
The proposed rainwater dam
Others argued in favour of the proposed dam by government as they believed it as a source of prosperity for the local people.
The myth that the presence of dam staff as a bad omen is a sign in itself that the local people are completely unaware of the wide scale impact of global warming.
The village of Bada is a smaller sample while calculating the worsening of global weather caused by global warming. There are thousands and thousands of people and places in the remotest areas of the globe that are being devastated with the consequences of evil acts of so called civilized nations in the name of protecting their right to a comfortable life.
World today as a global village consists of the people from Bada village,Pakistan too if people at some European or American country claim to be part of the same village. The interests of people at Bada are equal to those of people of New York,London and elsewhere in the world.
Do people in developed countries have the right to live comfortably? Do people from third world countries have no right to live in comfort while living in their own environment?
Why should the people of Bada be suffered with the bad impacts of Donald J.Trump's vow to American people to revitalise American economy by installing newer industries hence contributing more to the already growing carbon emission by USA?
Is urbanisation turning into a monster and industrialisation being a part and parcel of the same process needs to be controlled if not abolished?
Is the process of ruralization on a wider scale an answer to the problem of global warming?
What is a comfortable life to live? Is it the cosier environment of a room in some multi storeyed building heated with central heating system run by electricity or natural gas with the constant usage of electrical appliances consuming energy at the user's behest OR a comfortable life is one that is being experienced by inhabitants of a remotest area that is close to nature and exposed to natural calamities simultaneously?
How the balance between the two extremely different lifestyles can be maintained while the inhabitants of both lifestyles are in no mood to surrender their ways of life?
These are the questions that yet need to be answered.
