Democracy and Muslims

Democracy in its purest sense stands for"RULE OF PEOPLE".In west it is represented with their social norms.Customising democracy according to our social values will of course represent the very islamic shade we carry in our daily life.

We,being muslims will definitely be striving to formulate our existing/prospective laws in compliance to the teachings of our religion and allowing minorities of the country with the same right of legislating as per their faith.
Since we,the pakistani nation happen to be the real lawmakers, have to tell our parliamentarians to sit and formulate laws according to the ever changing needs of society.
Unfortunately,it is the ruling class(establishment)that has driven public thought over the years since independence. It should now be taken back from it and delivered to the elected parliament since it is the principal responsibility of the later as per constitution.
Parliament, being elected by public is principally answerable to the same and is the best forum to resolve any and every controversial issue that arises.

There is a widespread confusion about the role of army as people argue in favor/against the existence of army, the recruitment criterion for armed forces or the absolute authoritativeness of COAS,ISI,IB and other intelligence organisations. All these and similar issues are principally to be debated over and concluded with a best possible solution must be parliamentary tasks as the same effect society and also national interest.
