What fashion really means?

                                  What fashion really means?

Fashion "the way of behaving"actually is "the way of having"of the very features of a land's soil, weather and geography by the inhabitants of the same.
Fashion remains mainly in accordance with the comfort, ease and basic living requirements of the people of land.

The basic difference between us and west is that they live but in accordance with the actual living requirements they derive from their own land. They dress up,eat, drink, play and socialise naturally and as accordingly to their weather, soil and evolved social norms as they can. They do not look down on other cultures yet do not imitate the same blindly.Same is the case with their eating, drinking, playing or socialising habits.
The reason behind that is that they derive their social norms from within and not from a social entity that is never in synchronisation to the very traits of their soil, weather and geography.
Why do we tend to imitate West?Do we have no soil, weather or geography? What is that stops us from HAVING the shades of our own soil, weather and geography and create a FASHION that is very much our own,for our own comfort, ease and most importantly helps us describe our identity.

We should realistically look into the matter.
We are a people from a land occupied and ruled for long by a super power of its time that purposely imposed their own cultural values though for serving their own ends yet they were unable to alter, amend or misshape the very attributes of our land.
If our soil, weather and geography are not ruined or distorted, what is that hurdles us in extracting our fashion from the actual sources of the same?
The answer is we are unrealistic people.
We happen to be kind of complaintive people who talk of their identity shade yet never show the courage to say a louder NO to what is not in agreement with our own ease and comfort let alone we keep a firm stand against the inhuman etiquette chart and a strange code of conduct imposed in our public and private sector offices that has nothing to do with our weather, soil and geography.

Do we still call ourselves realistic while wearing a tie and coat in the scorching heat of June and July since it is in accordance with the code of conduct of a legacy of our past rulers but in total disconnect to our living requirements?
Dont we but We do feel nervous while entering some public office wearing HAWAI CHAPPAL and SHALWAR QAMEEZ,DHOTI, PAIJAMA, PATKA,TOPI,KURTA and the likes because we think and rightly think that the person sitting on the counter or reception treat us inhumanly.
We yet enter same place with chest wide open wearing a jeans, top and P cap even if it is ages old and ragged and the BAABOO SAHIB does show respect.

We complain of the inhuman behaviour of the other person hence taking it as an excuse to stick to an unrealistic way of life.
Instead of this why do we not take initiative wearing what comforts us and talk to the same BABOO SAHIB, POLICE CONSTABLE etc in a manner that is civilised and  more overwhelming to him than our appearance so that next time he takes the initiative to look at people's way of talking than their appearance.
Why don't we act so?
The reason for that is that we unlike western people look down on our own soil, weather and geography yet look up to west so exaggeratedly that we unconsciously tend to imitate them, completely disregarding the fact that we actually are portraying ourselves as unrealistic people.

Living in an age of an ever evolving global culture, if it is hard to avoid the effects of a predominant culture yet the same is a question of our own identity.
Instead of being called copycats, why not we take initiatives to be a part of the same global culture with as less foreign effects as possible and as much indigenousness and localness as we collectively can share with other cultural colours of that global spectrum.
This never stops us to learning good values from others rather we should look at it as the collective human culture in which people should remain intact to the very land they are born in and inhabit yet respect the "way of behaving" entirely originating from another land.
